Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are urging that a person who leaped a fence and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage shows the individual from Australia bypassing media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the actors proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though official papers showed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

History of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account includes clips of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Voice Worry Over the Star's Past Trauma

Many fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further comment on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while others requested digital services to block Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Event Details

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Hundreds of Singapore attendees had waited to see the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had queued for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be premiered on 21 November, is the second of a two-film interpretation of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely friendship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The show itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink glittering gown at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning film of the previous year in the UK, and received 10 Oscar nominations, earning several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
