An Australian man who vaulted over a barricade and touched Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been deported and barred from Singapore.

The man, aged 26, was sentenced to more than a week in prison for being a public nuisance and has now been "banned from entering the country again," the country's border control stated to local media.

The man shoved through camera crews and charged at the performer and artist, who was participating in the regional launch for Wicked: For Good on November 13. Co-performer Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

He has a background of disrupting concerts and celebrity events, including rushing the stage at the pop star's Australian show in this summer.

The event caused anger in Singapore, with many accusing him of causing further distress to the star.

The pop star has mentioned suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist bombing at her concert in the English city in several years ago resulted in the deaths of 22 people and affected hundreds.

During Wen's trial, the judge was informed he had made efforts to breach on the film's premiere multiple times, according to local news sources.

He then made a another effort to breach security. Event security stopped him and restrained him.

He then uploaded video clips appreciating the celebrity for allowing his presence and said he was "free."

Law enforcement took him into custody the next day and brought charges against him with public nuisance, to which the man admitted guilt.

The Presiding Judge Christopher Goh was quoted by media reports as saying that the man sought attention, adding that he was incorrect to think he would not experience repercussions.

The singer has not spoken about the incident.

Erivo mentioned the situation to the press, remarking that she "simply desired to make sure my colleague was protected."

"I believe he didn't intend us harm, but you never know with those things, and I wanted to make sure that she was fine. That was my initial reaction," she said.
