The Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form Based on the Astrological Sign

This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement within the fandom. From the gradual reveal of newcomers ahead of the title's release, to players forming strong views on the entire roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

With many of the Super Forms boasting unique designs that emphasize their personalities, one idea came to mind: How can connect this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as always angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more similar to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Stay on the good side of both and benefit from a strong partner; should you offend them, be ready to get burned.

The Bull – Super Heracross

Much like a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross, both in its standard and Super Form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, each the Pokémon and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will defend their side unwaveringly. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Many previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for sweet sap and how it uses its horn to collect it everything, which is true Bull-sign vibe.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Look at this absolute queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of any gathering, offering an endless fountain of chatter to anyone who wish to hear. Much like an captivating, sociable Gemini, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also states its ability to predict an opponent's next moves, which seems quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

Cancer is commonly considered as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a intense symbol famous for frequently getting absorbed in their feelings. Per the official info, Super Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to make a thundercloud over its very self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their good time.

Leo – Super Starmie

Well, did you think I was going to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Aside from the fact that it would be far too obvious, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being too fabulous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a performance, albeit for aliens.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s just like the symbol a Virgo sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this gentle, empathetic being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would likely appreciate Super Audino's abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to worry more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic origin: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through pure hatred and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio friends. A Scorpio loves karma and retribution, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a show. Being a Archer personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to foresee calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same energy as a Goat, who often always believe they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Detached air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame sign that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is Leo, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire category fits seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s description says it “absorbs negative energy and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
